Mumbai: Uorfi Javed’s latest dispute revolves around shooting content inside her own home. The social media personality has called out her housing society over restrictions on filming and shared a video of her confrontation with a security guard.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Uorfi alleged that the society committee had introduced a rule to trouble her, preventing her from shooting content in her flat.
“I can’t shoot any content in my own house!” she wrote. According to Uorfi, the society considers content uploaded to social media commercial because it makes her popular. She also said she would soon share the full story with names and faces.
Uorfi shares society’s resolution
In another Instagram Story, Uorfi posted a photograph of what appears to be the society’s meeting resolution. The document refers to filming with equipment inside a residential flat and records members’ objections to its use for commercial activities.

It states that commercial activities, including shooting, filming and reel making, should not be permitted within the society premises and should be restricted in accordance with applicable bylaws.

Reacting to the document, Uorfi wrote, “To shoot reels inside your own flat is considered illegal by my society.”
Heated exchange with security guard
The dispute also led to an argument with a security guard over people visiting her home.
“Aap mere ghar pe logon ko aane se rokoge?” Uorfi asks in the exchange. When the guard refers to the society’s decision regarding shoots, she responds, “Aap mujhe reel banane se kaise rokoge?”
In the text accompanying the clip, Uorfi alleged that guests arriving for a YouTube shoot were stopped from entering her home. She also accused the guard of checking her staff’s belongings without authorisation.
