Cyclone Murasu : Delta Weatherman Hemachandar has stated that Cyclone ‘Murasu’, which formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal, has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm. It is moving in a west-northwesterly direction and is expected to make landfall by this evening. He further noted that the cyclone is currently centered 230 km east-northeast of Chennai.
