Vijay spoke at a function held at the IIT Madras campus, stating that the State government must work in collaboration with the Central government for the welfare of the people. He further emphasized the need for Metro rail projects in Madurai and Coimbatore. Prime Minister Modi listened intently to Vijay’s speech and stood up to applaud him once he had finished speaking.
